University History

The Virtual University of Pakistan was established in 2002 by the Government of Pakistan as the country’s first fully online and ICT-based university. Since then, it has expanded nationwide with numerous campuses and study centers, including the Citi Campus in Multan. The Citi Campus was opened to provide South Punjab students with easy access to quality higher education, using modern distance-learning technologies. Over the years, the campus has produced skilled graduates in computing, management, and social sciences, contributing significantly to Pakistan’s knowledge economy.
